
| Celebrating Gateway’s 150 year Legacy! Hello there, The Leadership and Members of Gateway Baptist Church would like to invite you to a “Weekend of Celebrations” for 150 years of Ministry in the Launceston Community and beyond. The weekend will be held on Saturday, 11th July and Sunday, 12th July, 2026. On Saturday, 11th July: Guided tours from 10.30 am – 2.30 pm of the Church, Hall and Museum. Live Music, children’s activities also a colouring-in competition for the children during this time. On Sunday, 12th July Our celebrations will take the form of a special Church Service to thank and praise God for His faithfulness and goodness over the years. This will be held at 1.30 pm followed by Afternoon Tea in the Church Hall. Why not dress up in a period costume (anything from 1800s-2026) but not compulsory! Calling all Baptist Women

Key Note Speaker: Brisbane-based Tracy Valentine recently commenced a four year term as the president of Baptist Women of the Pacific – a network of women’s ministries in nations including Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Papua and West Papua, Tonga and Vanuatu.
The 53-year-old, who is married to Glenn and has three adult children, has long been an advocate for Baptist women and served in a range of church-related roles, including as a pastor (in roles specifically ministering to children and families), as a chaplain and in state and national roles with the Baptist Church.
Tracy currently works as a mission engagement manager – seniors and disability for Carinity, an outreach of Queensland Baptists that provides a range of services, including residential aged care, disability and family support services, and chaplains in hospitals, prisons, and aged care communities.
