Fellowship Groups are uniquely placed to allow members to get to truly know and support each other in the context of sharing hospitality, studying the life of Jesus and praying together. In general, it is our ambition that these groups are ‘hospitality’ and ‘home based’ with members meeting in their homes to share a meal or a cup of tea together.
The Fellowship Groups bring people together. They’re a great way of meeting with others to relax, encourage and share day-to-day life events together in addition to studying the Bible and praying together.
Currently there are two home based Fellowship Groups that meet on Monday nights. One group gets together at 6:00pm and shares a meal while the other group meets at 7:00pm, after dinner. Another group meets at the Church on Tuesdays at 11.00am. All are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Here are a few comments made by some of the Fellowship Group members:
- We have great learning, from both the Old and New Testaments.
- We learn about each other and can pray for each other.
- The relationship building is great -we learn more about each other in this setting than at church.
- Fun discussions about a range of topics in addition to the Bible study.
- We don’t get ‘cancelled’ if we have a different point of view.
